SETUP
═════
| *** QWKTALK REQUIRES 420K OF CONVENTIONAL MEMORY TO RUN PROPERLY ***
NOTE>>> TO RUN QWKTALK IN THE SILENT MODE OR ON A MACHINE WITHOUT A
NOTE>>> SOUND CARD. SEE "RUNNING SILENTLY" BELOW!!!
NOTE>>> PEGASUS SOFTWARE'S QWKTALK has been designed to run on any
SoundBlaster Compatible Sound Card. Testing has successfully been
done on numerous other sound cards as well. The following example
of the environment setting is for the Sound Blaster PRO card. Check
your sound card's manual for the correct settings for your card.
Before you begin your setup, you must make sure your environment
is correctly set for your sound card. You should have a line
*SIMILAR* to this in your AUTOEXEC.BAT:
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T4 <=== Sets the Sound Card ENVIRONMENT
You should also use whatever utilities you have to set the
volume on you card to MAX. <Such as SBP-SET.EXE for SoundBlaster
PRO>. Doing this will allow you to control the volume of the
QWKTALK's voice with your speaker volume control, and the voice
utilities built into QWKTALK.
Check your sound card manual for more information on the
ENVIRONMENT setting, and how to set the volume to MAX.
You must also have ANSI.SYS installed in your system if you wish
to view ANSI graphics messages or files <such as News,
Bulletins etc.> This is done in your Config.sys file. Check you
DOS manual for more information on installing ANSI.SYS.
Now On To The Setup:
1. Create a directory Called QWKTALK <MD \QWKTALK>
2. Unzip the *ENTIRE* contents of the archive into
the QWKTALK directory
3. Type <SETUPQT> at the prompt and answer the questions
| A. Text Editor - QWKTALK will allow you to use your
| favorite text editor. Just enter
| the FULL PATH AND NAME of the editor
| you wish to use or <ENTER> for the
| one packaged with QWKTALK. <The editor
| you use must support command line
| input filenames, (all good text editors
| do>
|
| B. Signature File - Enter the full path and name of the
| SIGNATURE file you want qwktalk to
| append to the end of your message, or
| press <ENTER> for NONE <see below for
| more info on SIGNATURE FILES
|
| C. Alias Name - Here enter the ALIAS you will be receiving mail
| mail under. You can change this inside QWKTALK
| if you like, but on start-up he will default to
| this name. <ENTER> NONE for no alias.
|
|
| D. QWK File Path - Enter the full path of the directory
| which contains your QWK packets. This
| will be the same directory that QWKTALK
| will place any REP packets it creates.
| <Include the trailing slash!>
|
| E. Auto Cycling - <Y>es Enables - <N>o disables the five
| second auto-cycling feature. This is
| intended to allow you to be away from
| your computer while QWKTALK automatically
| continues to read your mail. This feature
| can be enabled or disabled at any time
| from within the program.
|
| F. Silent or Spoken Headers - This answer will advise
| QWKTALK as to whether or not you want
| him to speak the message headers.
|
| These become the DEFAULT start-up setting for QWKTALK.
Next you will be prompted for the initial voice settings:
<T>one, <V>olume, <P>itch and <S>peed
These features allow you to adjust and adapt QWKTALK's
voice to suit your taste. Here is a good starting point:
TONE: 1
VOLUME: 4
PITCH: 2
SPEED: 5
QWKTALK's voice will speak to you at this point, giving you a
sample of the settings, and instructions on how to change
them if they are not what you want.
Remember: you can adjust them on the fly at any time from
within QWKTALK by entering a <V> at the menu line.
NOTE>»»»» You never have to run the SETUPQT program again, unless you
need to change Default choices.
THAT'S IT!!!! YOU ARE NOW READY TO RUN PEGASUS SOFTWARE'S QWKTALK!
IMPORTANT!!!!!!!
IMPORTANT!!!!!!! QWKTALK IS CURRENTLY DESIGNED TO HANDLE QWK PACKETS

RUNNING QWKTALK
═══════════════
You are now ready to run PEGASUS SOFTWARE'S QWKTALK (TM).
At the Main Prompt, type <TALK>.
QWKTALK will now go though a series of automated events,
including checking your setup file for default values, finding
the directory where your files are, and setting up it's work
space and temporary directory.
In SECONDS, you will see a list of QWK files in front of you,
the first one will be highlighted in light blue. Using the
arrow keys <on un-enhanced keyboards, make sure your number lock
is OFF>, you can move the selection bar over the QWK packet you
wish to hear/read. Once you have done this, press enter. <You may
also delete any of the list QWK packets, by typing <D>>.
QWKTALK will then UNPACK the selected file, analyze it, count the
number of messages, view the message base itself, <to see if there
are any juicy messages IT may want to read <g>>, and sort the
packet.
To keep you amused during this task, QWKTALK will display the
HEADER information at a startling speed. This display is here
only to keep your interest and serves no other purpose
whatsoever!
| Next the MAIN MENU will appear. Here is an explanation of each
menu choice:
(E)nter a Message: Selecting <E> will begin the Message Entering
procedure of QWKTALK. You will be first shown
a listing of Conferences. You MUST select a
conference here, to tell QWKTALK where you want
the message posted. Pressing <ENTER> at the
Conference List Menu will show you the next page
<assuming there are more then one>. Once you have
selected a conference number, QWKTALK will then
display the Message Header Menu. You will note
that your name appears in the <FROM> field. If you
want this message to be from your ALIAS, simply
enter your ALIAS NAME in the from field. You must
also complete the <TO> field and the <SUBJECT>
field. The conference you selected will appear in
the Conference Box, however you can change it if
you like. Also take note of the <PRIVATE> flag,
and adjust it if necessary.
Next QWKTALK will run the text editor you have
specified in your SETUPQT. If you did not select
one, QWKTALK will run the one provided with this
program. It is a functional editor. It is
FREEWARE, and full documentation was provided
with QWKTALK.
Upon completing your Message, remember to SAVE it
and exit the editor. If you have entered a
SIGNATURE file, QWKTALK will add your signature
to the end of the message, as well as the TAGLINE
that appears in the tagline box of the Message
Header Menu. <In the REGISTERED copy of QWKTALK,
you can select any tagline you wish, or write
your own! In the UNREGISTERED version, you must
use the default which is a shameless ad for the
program>.
Once saved, QWKTALK will return you to the
Message Header Menu for one last look. If
everything is OK, press <F10> and QWKTALK will add
the message to the REP packet it will later
create. Choosing <F3> will bring you to the
Carbon Copy Menu <see below>. Choosing <F9> will
abort the reply. Either choice will return you
to QWKTALK's Main Menu. <F1> re-edits the
Message.
Edit Rep(L)ies: Selecting <L> at the Main Menu will engage
QWKTALK's Reply Editing Feature. You will be shown
an Index of all the messages contained in the REP
packet. You may select the one you wish to edit and
QWKTALK will display the Message Header Menu with
all of the current information for that reply. You
may change any of the fields <see ENTER A MESSAGE
for more details>. After being shown the message in
the text editor for you to alter, you will again be
returned to the Message Header Menu. <F10> saves
and <F9> aborts the edit, and QWKTALK returns you
to his Main Menu. <F1> Re-edits the message.
Search (N)ame: Selecting <N> at Main Menu begins the Name Search
routine. You will be first given a choice of <T>o or
<F>rom Name. This tells QWKTALK which field you want
to search by. Next you will be shown a screen with
all the current information <defaults are ALL>, and
given a prompt for the field you have chosen. Enter
the Name to search for, or the equals <=> sign to
retain the current name. <QWKTALK remembers the last
search you did and places that name in the
appropriate field.> Pressing <ENTER> confirms the
selection. If you have chosen the <T>o field, you
will then be asked if you what to change the <FROM>
field. Enter the new information or press <ENTER> for
<ALL> or equals <=> to retain the current field. Next
you will be asked if you wish to change the
Conference to search. Again, <ENTER> will choose
<ALL>, equals <=> will retain current, or you can <L>
all the available conference, or just enter the number
of the conference you want to search. Here also, you
can abort the entire search operation by entering <M>
for Main Menu.
NOTE>>>>> There is an order to selections. If you choose <T>o
will be asked for the <T>o name, then the <F>rom name
then the <C>onference. Choosing the <F>rom name will
retain the <T>o name unchanged, and ask for a <F>rom
name and then a <C>onference.
Search (I)ndex: One of the most Powerful features of QWKTALK is his
indexing ability. QWKTALK will sort the messages in
the packet any way you want, then display a listing
of them for you to select the individual message
you want to read. Selecting <I> will bring you the
Indexing Menu. Here you will be given a choice of:
(T)o Name, (F)rom Name, (C)onference, (Y)our or (M)ain
Choosing <T>o will bring you to the Current
Information Screen, and allow you to select the
(T)o name to index by. You will then be asked if
you want to change the <F>rom name and the
<C>onference.
Choosing <F>rom will keep the current
<T>o name <or default to ALL> and allow you to
select the new <F>rom name and then ask you if you
wish to change the <C>onference.
Choosing <C>onference will keep the current
information in the <T>o and <F>rom fields and allow
you to change only the Conference. (Note again the
order of selection)
Choosing <Y>our will select your name for the <T>o
search field and display a screen with both your
name and the ALIAS you have entered in the initial
configuration. Here you may change the ALIAS if you
like simply by typing a new one, or if you did not
select an ALIAS in the initial setup, you may do so
now. Pressing enter alone will retain the current
ALIAS or NONE if the field is blank.
Next QWKTALK will display a highlight-bar listing
of all of the messages that conform to your search
parameters. QWKTALK has the ability to search all
conferences at once, so, unless you specified a
specific conference, you will be given the listing
of all the mail meeting your criteria in all
conferences. In the case of a <Y>our search, all
the mail that is addressed to either you or your
ALIAS will be selected.
|NOTE>>>>>>>>IF YOU HAVE SELECTED AN ALIAS IN THE INITIAL SETUP OR AT THIS
POINT IN THE PROGRAM, QWKTALK WILL REMEMBER THE ALIAS AND
EVERY TIME YOU DO A SEARCH FOR YOUR NAME IT WILL
AUTOMATICALLY CHECK FOR ANY MAIL TO YOUR ALIAS AS WELL.
Using the cursor keys, move the highlight bar
to the message you wish to hear\view and
QWKTALK will display that message, and, when
completed, will return you to the Main Menu.
After you have heard\viewed a message, QWKTALK
will mark it with a <*> to remind you that it
has been read.
Search (C)conference: Selecting <C> at the Main Menu will
bring you to the Conference selection
menu. This is a short-cut feature to
use only if you need only to change
the conference you will be searching,
but want to retain the previous <T>o
and <F>rom names.
|NOTE>>>>>>>>THE SEARCH <N>AME AND THE SEARCH <C>ONFERENCE FEATURE WHEN
CHOSEN DIRECTLY FROM THE MAIN MENU ARE USED TO DIRECTLY
SELECT *MESSAGES* TO HEAR/READ. THE <T>O, <F>ROM,
<C>ONFERENCE AND <Y>OUR FEATURE SELECTED FROM THE <I>NDEX
MENU ARE USED TO VIEW THE INDEX AND SELECT AN *INDIVIDUAL
MESSAGE* TO HEAR/READ.
(A)uto Toggle: Selecting <A> from the Main Menu will give you
a choice of Enabling or Disabling the Auto
Message Cycling Feature of QWKTALK. Select
<O>n to Enable the five-second auto message
cycle, or o<F>f to Disable the auto cycle.
(V)oice Utilities: Selecting <V> will engage QWKTALK's Voice
Utilities and allow you to adjust the TOne,
Pitch, Volume and Speed of his voice. See the
SETUP section for recommended starting choices.
(Q)uit: Selecting <Q> at the Main Menu will end QWKTALK.
(D)os: Selecting <D> at the Main Menu will Shell to DOS.
Remember to return to the QWKTALK directory you have
the program in before resuming its operation.
(H)elp: Selecting <H> at any time will display QWKTALK's
Talking Help Menu. He will read you a brief listing
of the functions for each key selection.
| FILES:
(B)lts: Selecting <B> at the Main Menu will display a menu of
bulletins, if any, contained in the QWK packet. Use
the cursor keys to move the highlight bar, then press
enter to view the selected bulletin. After the
display, you can <R>e-display or <C>ontinue back to
the Bulletin Listing Menu, where choosing <Q>uit will
return you to the Main Menu.
New (F)iles: Selecting <F> at the Main Menu will display the
New Files Listing, if any, contained in the QWK
packet. Press <R>e-display or <Q>uit to return
to the Main Menu.
(W)elcome: Selecting <W> at the Main Menu will display the
Welcome FIle, if any, contained in the QWK packet.
Press <R>e-display or <Q>uit to return to the Main
Menu.
New(S): Selecting <S> at the Main Menu will display the News
File, if any, contained in the QWK packet. Press
<R>e-display or <Q>uit to return to the Main Menu.
At(T)achments: Selecting <T> at the Main Menu will display a
menu of File Attachments, if any, contained in
the QWK packet. Use the cursor keys to
highlight the one you wish to View and press
Enter. Type <M>ove if you wish to move the
file into another directory where it will be
saved. At the File Attachments Menu, <Q>uit to
return to the Main Menu.
|NOTE>>> TYPING (H)ELP AT ANY POINT WILL DISPLAY A POP-UP HELP MENU
|NOTE>>> AND QWKTALK WILL READ YOU ALL OF THE MENU KEYS AND WHAT THEY
|NOTE>>> DO!
Once you have the fields, or indexed messages you want, QWKTALK
will begin to retrieve those messages and translate them for
screen display and for speech synthesization.
NOTE>»»» PREPARATION OF MESSAGES FOR SPEECH SYNTHESIZATION IS NOT A
SIMPLE PROCESS. THE FASTEST WAY TO ACHIEVE THIS IS TO USE THE
SORT FEATURES TO MINIMIZE THE NUMBER OF MESSAGES FOR EACH
SEARCH. AT ANY TIME YOU CAN RETURN TO THE CHOICE MENU <USING
THE <N>ame, <N>ew Index or <C>onference COMMAND AND SELECT DIFFERENT
PARAMETERS FOR YOUR SEARCH. A SELECTION OF <TO> ALL ; <FROM>
ALL; <CONFERENCES> ALL; WILL TAKE A LITTLE WHILE, SO TRY TO BE
A BIT SPECIFIC IN YOUR CHOICES, <TO> ALL; <FROM> ALL;
<CONFERENCE> 0; IS A MUCH BETTER CHOICE AND WILL TAKE A LOT
LESS TIME! YOU CAN THEN DO THE SAME FOR CONFERENCE 1, 2 ETC.
AND QWKTALK WILL BE MUCH HAPPIER.
During the Message Retrieval/Translation process, QWKTALK will
display the Status Box, the Name of the Current Directory it is
searching, and the number of messages it finds that meet your
sort parameters. It will also, at this time, display a fancy
little animated star pattern to keep you amused during this
procedure.
Once completed, QWKTALK will display a screen with the Stats on
the Packet it is currently working on. You will see this screen
only once, just before the first message is being heard/read.
The information includes, the BBS name, Packet Name, Door ID,
Time and Date of the Packet, User Name etc.
****************** NOW THE MAGIC BEGINS ************************
With the information displayed on the screen, QWKTALK will
begin to TALK. It will READ YOU every word on the screen, in a
PLEASANT, robotic voice. In the upper right hand corner of the
screen, you will see the word <SPOKEN> or <SILENT>, reminding
you of the current Header Setting you have chosen. Also, if you
have CHOSEN AUTOMATIC CYCLING, you will see the word <AUTO> in
the corner.
Once QWKTALK has READ the entire screen to you, you will be
given a prompt. You can either <ENTER> to go to the Next
Message, or change <C>onferences, <N>ames, <N>ew Index etc.
Change the Toggle for <A>uto cycling, enter the (V)oice Utilities
sub program, <R>eply to the message, view the message as an
Ans<I> or <Q>uit back to the Main Menu. If you are currently in
the AUTO mode, five seconds after the message is read, QWKTALK
will automatically move on to the next message and read it.
This will continue until all of the selected messages have been
read, at which time you will have the option of choosing a new name,
conference etc. If you wish to interrupt QWKTALK while he is
speaking, press any key and QWKTALK will finish the phrase in
his que, then display the menu prompt.
| Talking Help is available at any time by pressing the (H) key.
In the UNREGISTERED VERSION, you will be allowed to hear/read 7
messages, then an annoying reminder to register will be read
to you. You will also be UNABLE to REPLY in the Unregistered
Version.
|ABOUT REPLIES
|═════════════
|
| Even the Unregistered Version of QWKTALK offers you unlimited
| replies! To Reply to a message, simply type the letter <R>
| while the message is being displayed to you. QWKTALK will then
| display a header menu which will already have your name in the
| FROM field, the name of the receiver in the TO field, the
| Subject from the message you are replying to, and PRIVATE or
| PUBLIC depending on what the status of the message your are
| replying to is. This is all done automatically, however you can
| change ANY of the information you wish by using the <ENTER> key
| or the UP and DOWN cursor arrows to select the field, then just
| type the new information. Pressing <F10> will save the header
| information and call up your text editor to display the message
| your are replying to with appropriate QUOTATION markings, ready
| for you to respond to. Once you have entered and manipulated
| the information the way you wish, just exit your text editor
| <don't forget to save the reply>, and QWKTALK will again
| display the header menu, to give you one last chance to review
| it. If everything is ok, then press <F10> to accept and QWKTALK
| will add your reply to its REP packet. You may abort the reply
| by pressing <F9> at which time QWKTALK will send you back to
| the packet you were reading, at the point you left, or back to
| the Main Menu, if that was the final message in your search.
| PRESSING THE <F9> KEY WILL DELETE THE REPLY AND NOT ADD IT TO
| THE REP PACKET!
|
|
|
|EDITING REPLIES
|═══════════════
| QWKTALK features the ability to edit all replies contained in
| the REP packet, including replies existing from previous runs
| of the program. <Be careful never to upload replies twice!!>
| To do this, enter Edit Rep<L>ies at the main menu and QWKTALK
| will display the header menu. Editing the reply follows the
| same basic procedure outlined above. <NOTE: If you are using
| QWKTALK's automatic signature feature, be sure to delete your
| signature when you edit a reply to avoid it being displayed
| twice!>
|
|
|
|DISPLAY FILES
|═════════════
|
| QWKTALK has the unique ability to display any message that was
| entered in ANSI or PCBOARD color codes, in there designated
| colors. To do this, when you encounter an ANSI or PCBOARD
| encoded message, simply type the letter <I> at the menu
| prompt. This will clear the screen and then display the
| message in its decoded format. QWKTALK IS THE ONLY MAIL READER
| THAT CAN HANDLE BOTH ANSI AND PCBOARD GRAPHICS!!!!.
|
| Many mail doors give you the option of including with your
| mail a copy of the WELCOME screen from the BBS, the NEWS file,
| a Listing of NEW FILES, and Bulletins. QWKTALK has the
| capability of displaying all of this files at your command!
| At the main menu, simply type <B> for Bulletins, <F> for New
| Files Listing, <W> for the Welcome Screen, or <S> for the
| News. You can view these files at any time from the Main Menu
| as often as you like. Pressing <Q> while viewing the file
| will abort the view and bring you back to the main menu.
| If you attempt to view a file that is not included in the
| packet, QWKTALK will let you know that it is missing. Some
| mail doors require that you tell them what display files you
| want included in your packet. See the configuration menu of
| the mail door you are using.
| Ansi requires that you have ANSI.SYS or similar driver loaded
| in your CONFIG.SYS file. See your DOS manual for more
| details.
|
|
|FILE ATTACHMENTS
|════════════════
|
| One of the most exciting new features to hit the E-Mail world
| recently was the ability to include FILE ATTACHMENTS to you
| messages. QWKTALK is one of the only mail readers to accept
| file attachments...and that's not all. By choosing
| A<T>tachments at the main menu prompt, QWKTALK will display
| all of the file attachments that were included in the
| packet. You will than have a chance to view the archive,
| and/or move the file to another directory for review later.
| If you intend to use the attached file, you MUST move it, as
| QWKTALK cleans up after itself and will delete it otherwise.
|
|NOTE >>> IN ORDER FOR FILE ATTACHMENTS TO BE PRESENT, THE BBS YOU ARE
| GETTING YOUR MAIL FROM MUST HAVE A DOOR THAT SUPPORTS FILE
| ATTACHMENTS.
|
|
|AUTO SIGNATURE
|══════════════
| QWKTALK can be configured to automatically add a signature
| to each of your messages <See SETUP above>. To do this you
| must first create a file containing the signature. Do so
| using and ASCII editor. All ASCII characters are generally
| permitted, and the signature can be any size you like and as
| elaborate as you wish.

| Some mail doors <such as Rosemail> will not accept messages
| longer than a specified length. Such messages are rejected and
| not posted. To address this problem, QWKTALK has an Auto
| Paginate Feature that will brake up any messages that exceed
| the 130 line limit, into SEPARATE message each with a page.
| He will automatically insert the headers, and the "Continued
| From" and "Continued To" notation.
|
|WARNING>> QWKTALK WILL BRAKE UP OVERSIZE MESSAGES INTO DIFFERENT PAGES,
| BUT CANNOT RE-ASSEMBLE THEM FOR EDITING. THEREFORE THE USE OF
| THE REPLY EDITOR SHOULD BE AVOIDED ON MULTI-PAGE MESSAGES
| CREATED BY QWKTALK. THE REASON IS THAT QWKTALK WILL FILL EACH
| PAGE TO IT LIMIT <150 LINES>, THEN TREAT EACH PAGE AS A
| SEPARATE MESSAGE <LIKE THEY WILL APPEAR ON THE BBS>. IF YOU
| EDIT ANY PAGE BUT THE LAST, AND LENGTHEN IT DURING THE EDIT,
| QWKTALK WILL ASSUME THE THE PAGE IS A NEW OVERSIZED MESSAGE
| AND CREATE ANOTHER PARTIAL PAGE.
| SIMPLY - TO PLAY IT SAFE YOU SHOULD ONLY *ADD* TO THE LAST
| PAGE OF A QWKTALK-CREATED MULTI-PAGE MESSAGE, AND ONLY EDIT
| THE EARLIER PAGES IF YOU WILL BE REDUCING THEIR SIZE.
|
|
|CARBON COPIES
|═════════════
|
| QWKTALK maintains a Carbon Copy Data File. You can enter up
| to 20 names and different conferences, and them post the same
| message to any or all of the members of the CC list.
|
| Choosing <F3> at the last header display when Entering a
| message, Replying to a message, or Editing a Reply, will
| bring you to the Carbon Copy Menu. You will be show a list of
| the names you have entered previously <the first time in it
| will obviously be blank>. There are several selections you
| can make at this point.
|
| To <A>dd names choose <A>. A bar will appear on the bottom of
| the screen asking for the name to Add. Next you will be shown
| the conference listing to select the conference you which
| this copy to be posted.
|
| To <R>emove a name, place the Highlight bar on the name you
| wish to remove then press <R> and the name will be
| permanently removed from the listing.
|
| You must SELECT the names you which to Carbon Copy this
| message to. This is accomplished by moving the highlight bar
| over the name you wish to select then pressing the <ENTER>
| key. A red <*> will appear next to the name indicating it has
| been selected.
|
|NOTE>>>> QWKTALK REMEMBERS WHO YOU SELECTED LAST TIME IN <EVEN IF FROM
|NOTE>>>> A PREVIOUS PACKET...ANY NAME WITH A RED <*> NEXT TO IT WILL
|NOTE>>>> BE COPIED!
|
| To <D>eselect a name, move the Highlight bar over the name
| and press <D>. The red <*> will disappear indicating the the
| name has been Deselected.
|
| Choosing the <Q>uit key will Save the original message
| without any Carbon Copies.
VOICE UTILITIES
═══════════════
Typing (V) a the menu line will bring you to the voice utility
menu. From here you can adjust the Tone, Volume, Pitch and
Speed of QWKTALK's voice. <Sorry gender is not available in
this Beta release>. Simply respond to each question with the
appropriate number. The following is a good starting point,
however you may choose any settings you wish:
TONE: 1
VOLUME: 3
PITCH: 2
SPEED: 5
QWKTALK will automatically update your configuration file to
the new settings each time you enter the voice utility menu.
|RUNNING QWKTALK SILENTLY OR WITHOUT A SOUND CARD
|════════════════════════════════════════════════
|
| QWKTALK has the ability to run silently. To run silently,
| type TALK_SSH at the main prompt instead of TALK to invoke
| QWKTALK. This will disable the speaking feature for silent
| running and also allow QWKTALK to be run safely on machines
| that do not have sound cards. QWKTALK is such a fine mail
| reader, I added this feature to make it available to everyone
| <after numerous requests!>
|
| In either case, SETUPQT *MUST* be run to create the
| configuration file <only one run of SETUPQT is required as
| indicated above>. In the case of machines WITHOUT sound card,
| when you run SETUPQT you will see the message:
|
| BLASTER ENVIORNMENT NOT PROPERLY SET
|
| This is normal and will cause no damage or problem in running
| the program.

DEDICATION
══════════
This program is dedicated to MIRIAM CADY, who said, "WHAT
